Best Gantt Tool Used So Far
주석: My experience with Instagantt has mostly been good. There was an initial learning curve, but improvements to the user experience and interface have been made through the years.
장점:
It’s wonderful how Instagantt syncs with Asana to visualize our projects and allows us to share with clients.
단점:
The resource view doesn’t give us exactly what we need and want to see. We built and manage what we need in a separate spreadsheet and use Instagantt for some of the data that goes into it. Also building out dependencies correctly to where big shifts don’t mess anything up can be a bit tedious.

I'm the only one in my company using this. I use it because I personally find it helpful. It was very easy to get started due to the free trial, and the link to Asana. After using Asana with Instagantt for a while it became clear that I didn't need Asana anymore. So for the past couple years, I've only used Instagantt. For me, the biggest benefit is the visibility of my project timelines and how they affect each other. I will admit that I am not using this software to its fullest. Probably far from it. However, I am interested in learning how and have just recently started inputting estimated hours for my tasks. My goal with that is to see if I'm overbooking myself and to get better an estimating hours for a given task.

Again, I admit that I need to learn more about Instagantts functionality before criticizing. However, I will say that the user interface feels....clunky. I wish I could be more elegant with my response but it is a bit difficult to learn how to use at first. I find myself doing things a certain way because that's what I've found work for me. However, I'm not confident that's the best way to do it. It "easy" to input a project and add tasks and move things around. But having lots of flexibility inside a software can be a double-edged sword. Often I find myself being overwhelmed at all of the selections and options I have.

It was easy to launch, overall, the team seems to like it, it has enough features to be useful.
However, I'd like to have more visibility regarding the upcoming features, what you have planned to develop.
Some features are really painful for the tech team (entering a specific amount of hour a day to follow the workload for instance, not being able to archive done section...)
장점:
- The interface is user-friendly, easy to understand the core features of product. - Collaboration with multiple users is easy to handle. - There are all the basics someone would like in a Gantt, and the UI is nice. - The workload view is really nice
단점:
- The workload management is not optimum -> I'd like to handle it with days worked and not hours, it becomes too specific when you work by the hour - Section should disappear when all their content is done (or at lease archivable) otherwise, they remain visible forever and spoil the clearness of the gantt. - It's also painful that the tasks can't be linked between workbooks -> let's say I want to have a stakeholder view versus a developer view, I don't want to work on the same workbook, and yet I have to duplicate all my modifications because it's the same tasks overall - The milestone management is not usable (milestone shouldn't be included in section, and it shouldn't be movable -> if my tasks go beyond my milestone, I'd rather have the tasks turn red than move the milestone away) - Some features seems to be glitched -> when you filter on a tag but didn't expand all, some features are missing.
great tool for the price

a bit difficult at the beginning to understand all features but it's just a question of habit the only issue I got was with the login and automatic email to confirm the account, and for that, I didn't saw any customer support. but now everything works and it's seems that my team will use it for a long time!
Hoping for some input and some changes.
주석: I would say it’s a solid 7-8. There is great potential but not there yet. Excited to see if my input matters.

The integration with asana is the most exciting part. I like the notes and the estimated value and actual value tracker. Awesome. Love the share feature. That is amazing.

I would really like the ability to assign tasks to contractors still under my responsibility. So assigned to Alex and the trade would be company A. Then have a monthly chart for company A showing all my projects to see if I have over lapped them with another project I have going. If they are a small company and can’t service both jobs this would be a problem. Then also a calendar view of the project with as sub trades. The small thing about having to hit enter after entering the task name is just annoying(something I can get used to)
Nice software, Not premium, but provides the minimum required

The ability to draft projects and project timelines by using the tool. The ability to assign resources and add EE into tasks.
단점:
The ability to use it with clients and collaborate using it. Also, there's an issue where the snapshots and actual Gantt have different item numbers. This is absurd.
The most important decision you'll make
주석: Picking up and building a quick timeline and schedule to make all parties privy and able is next to the impossible outside of this tool.

scaling the picture of the gantt exported to jpg/pdf is not the best right now - I would recommend to work on this little but important feature. it would be great to add something like dynamic compression of the lenght and widht of the project if it takes longer period of time it is difficult to show such a project in clear picture with names
Review from an AEC User

Waht we use this app for it is super efficient and satisfies our needs.
I could imagine that "hardcore" task oriented users might have different opinion but for a midsize engineering company for project planning/visualization it works very well.
Another idea would be the integration into MS Teams and connect it to the TO-DO of teams. Microsoft has MS project which is horrible to use and not interactive/integrated at all. More and more companies transfer to a full Microsoft integration and a proper Gantt Chart app is missing.

Since we were looking for a Gantt Chart App that is easy to incorporate into ASANA and vizualizing Project Schedules we are very happy with the functionality of InstaGantt. In the AEC world it is more about project planning for phases rather than individual task assignments and tracking. We like the free version of it since with the max. of 3 project this is very sufficient for us.
단점:
Sometimes laggy if you try redoing some steps. The "follow" function by dragging does not always work.

Instagantt review
장점:
Instagantt adds a really solid gantt chart on top of asana task lists. Asana integration is useful. The usability is great, very intuitive features i.e. baseline overlay, auto sort by date, moving with dependencies, adding tasks directly to chart, etc etc. So many great features. Prints very well & share mode is great too.
단점:
Nothing major. Lack of a task list. I personally only use asana for it's integration with instagantt. I'd use instagantt alone if there was a task list similar to asana. Reporting isn't as strong for me. I use the progress burn up chart, but I don't resource the project through instagantt (or asana) so workload/overview aren't great for me.
Much better than 'FastTrack' just a few features missing
주석: Overall really good - just the odd thing that needs improving. Hopefully that will come with upgrades etc.

The way it syncs with Asana - especially the resources/calendars. And how similar it is to FastTrack. It doesn't crash and we love it being online compared to downloadable software. It was can accessed anywhere.
단점:
Sometimes the sync function doesn't work - for example Asana says the wrong start date of a project. But you simply refresh and sign back in - then reset the date and it syncs back up no problem. The main thing is the inability to add bank holidays - non working days. It would be soooo useful, if on bank holidays, the time tasks take automatically extends, without changing it's duration. For example it should still take 2 days to complete the task as it stretches over a weekend AND bank holiday. This would mean we can avoid changing the length of tasks if they move on/delay past any bank holidays.
Instagantt works!

It is easy to use, builds off of a solid backbone (asana) and support is transparent and what it can and can't do (don't try to build a complex project in Instagantt, build it in asana instead and then let the sync do the work)
단점:
Didn't understand how best to use it at first. FOLDERS are key, if you are managing your complex projects as sections and subtasks, don't, just pay the $5/user.

Easy to use, it has both gantt chart for project scheduling and board for scrum team.
단점:
Don't have an easy way to see the team loading per day basis for tasks planning. Wish there is pricing package for team size of 10 users and below instead of per user basis.
Easy gantt and lressource management
주석: I have just been testing it for one day so far, but I like its ease of use, connectivity with Asana and the simple ressource managemetn tab.

The way we have to create depencies betwenn task is not intuitive and takes to many clicks. We should simply be able to create an arrow by cliking at the end of a task and then the begining of anither one. Would be great to integrate an asset management tab to this tool. If we could assign an asset/equipment to each task, we could the have a tab to make sur we have not planned to task at the same time on the same quipment.
A project management system which just gets better and better
주석: Instagantt solves all of my Gantt chart and project management system needs. It isn't ridiculously expensive and that makes it accessible for SOHO businesses. The support team are top-notch and resolve things quickly. New feature requests are also taken onboard.

Gantt chart set up is a breeze Import facility makes onboarding from another system much less of a headache Export/sharing facility is great and much better than a simple screen-grab

Moving multiple tasks at once isn't supported, which is a shame The import facility could be better if it had a template which allowed tasks and subtasks to be imported
A great tool that can grow further
주석: (continuing from above) a snapshot of that to share with others. But then it means that I have milestones separated from the tasks needed to achieve them... Maybe.... a "milestones only" view would solve the problem, and remove all the nitty gritty that people don't have time to look at. That could be an idea actually...!

I load Asana project onto Instagantt, from back when Asana did not have a timeline feature. I keep preferring Instagantt even now: it has a more detailed and professional feel, I can zoom out and have a bird's eye view on very complex projects (200+ tasks)..which is why I take time building out ganttcharts (don't need them for simple proejcts..)
단점:
It has a few bugs and sometimes is a bit finicky. The dependencies for example, they do not always work well and I still don't seem to have understood how tasks will react to change if they are dependent or have dependants. The view is not always very easy to read, and I sometimes need to scroll up to actually check a task against the date bar on top, to see when it's actually starting/ending (Yes, I could use the start/end date on the left, but I don't want to, since I am using a gantt chart I want to just look at the gantt chart). Making the vertical lines thicker or blacker could help. Or replicating the date bar at the bottom too. Another small thing, being asked all the time if I want to order tasks by date is annoying. Fine to get a reminder as a new user, but after 4 years I know where to click to get that. Finally, I don't have specific ideas to propose, but working on improving the visualization tools to get the full picture and share with others would be great. I spend a lot of time on instagantt as part of my role and it helps me a ton, but whenever I share with the rest of the team, they hardly ever take the time to look at the whole thing and try and understand,... it just looks too daunting to them ! So in the past I used to create a second instagantt project and call it "project X - high level", keeping it simple for sharing purposes. Now I simply create a Milestones section on top of the project with the key milestones and take a snapshot of that t
Only 3 days using it and I love it
주석: It's a couple of days using this software but I'm loving it. There are some improvement to do, but I find this tool very good for startups and medium sized companies who need a simple tool, fast and easy to read at. Export tool is great for stakeholders and investors whit the ease of sharing a link with the same UX and UI of navigating the gantt in edit view.

- Full feature with estimations, progress, assignments, working hours, dashboard, ecc. - Sections and subtasks, task priority - Customisation color of tasks - Clean UI and very intuitive UX make it fast and easy to work on tasks. - Export tools with a link to view for externals (which not need to be subscribed) - Multiple snapshots of exported gantt - Great zoom in-out feature and map navigation (useful for wider projects) - Week numbers view and day view - Tons of templates to get started - Nice mobile view adapts correctly to the screen size (you can't edit on mobile)

- Sometimes it's not responding the detailed view of a task, I solve by refreshing the page - Board view limited in features (need to show more information about the task) - Lack of mobile app or edit feature in mobile web view
Affordable and easy to use project manager
주석: It has the very core functionalities need for a small company.

I could buy only Gantt functionality need to manage my project. Other solutions had too much functionalities with higher price, which I didn't need at that time.
단점:
Some part of a project needs to be copied to other project. This happens when some of the tasks of a project is to be moved to next stage.
Great room for managing initiatives!

Love how user-friendly it can be. The visuals are superior to the actual PM system we use. I end it looking g at timelines in InstaGantt vs. the PM system! Just so much easier

Sometimes I can’t treat dependencies the way I want. It seems to be “one way” (remove) rather than two way to allow you to create them as well
Project Manager view

- Gantt chart view clean and beneficial for easy view - Like the option of having a master link so can be shared with client

- Project schedules built in Asana don't 100% carry-over to instagantt - Sometimes tasks get misplaced or misaligned - Subtasks don't show up in work load view therefore, cause discrepancy in resourcing

GP Plasma Uses Instagantt
주석: We are able to track and manage projects with very few resources and Instagannt and ASANA being linked is now our go-to tool for project management.

Nearly all the features we need with direct connection to ASANA - critical feature for us.
단점:
We have been unable to figure out some key features common to Project - not stopping us from getting our jobs done but would be nice to see some additions in the future. Example: start to finish and variants.
