주석: My overall experience with Microsoft Excel has been positive. It does all I can possibly need right now.

What I like about Microsoft Excel is the ability to create different spreadsheets for so many different aspects of my everyday life. I have created budgets for my son and daughter. All they need to do is input their numbers and everything is calculated. I like that.

단점:

There's not anything negative I can say about Microsoft Excel.

Well, it's an option

주석: A tolerant level of frustration, like accepting your parents or siblings because they're your only family, but they irritate you to no end. It's there and it's all you got because Google cloud apps are blocked by your law firm.

The pros are thin on this software. I'll list them by number. 1. The software is over 20 years old and has been refined and recreated numerous times over that period. 2. It makes creating lists very easy when copying and pasting information from tables on web forms. It intuitively pastes tables by column and row quite accurately 99% of the time and enables you to take one column as a list and paste it anywhere else. This utility reduces the tedium of quickly conveying information to co-workers considerably. 3. The ability to import data by comma or tab delimited text files is also exceedingly powerful in reducing time spent listing or reporting on specific items in a format that is not conducive to pasting into a table, or perhaps powershell script derived data outputted to a comma delimited text file. As a computer engineer, this takes hours and hours of time and compresses it into minutes. 4. The formulas, while available on Google or other spreadsheets, are also good pros and help with calculating anything you need to do in terms of math from other columns, in my case and in short, capacity and utilization percentages of storage devices on hand.

What I like least are the frustrating things, and while few, these really irk me and stand out as a problem, especially in creating reports for people using the formulas, math and functions that spreadsheets are best known for. Case in point: The ability to copy and paste just the function into another spreadsheet that is open. It simply does not work unless you tab out of the existing cell and this is because, annoyingly, separate files, completely separate Excel spreadsheets, all act as if they're part of the same file. If I have one spreadsheet xlsx file open and a separate one open where I'm copying and pasting pertinent data from one to the other, it acts as if I'm in the same spreadsheet and the behavior is inexplicably wonky and unusable. I just want to copy the formula plain text as is into the cell of another spreadsheet because I want to use that same math for data related to other irrelevant items. Google Sheets does not do this at all. Maybe this was something Accountants wanted for some crazy reason that I'll never encounter as an engineer. But this is obnoxious and makes me scream at the computer often. The other con is that I do not like the non-intuitive UI and clunky way to simply save files. It pushes One Drive, and pushes it hard like non stop telemarketing calls. Also, I just prefer the old way to save files. Call me old fashioned but it was simple. I don't need the whole screen to change when cling the file tab.

Workplace Essential

It is endlessly customizable. It's obviously great at calculations and typical data analytics, but is also a wonderful project management tool and, with some creativity, can be used in live presentations.

I wish there was more in-depth help within excel when your formula isn't formatted correctly. There are lots of resources online and Microsoft's website, but you have to leave the application.

Also Managing and debugging complex formulas can be challenging. Enhanced formula auditing tools and better error messages would help users identify and fix issues more easily.

My Honest Review-Microsoft Excel

주석: Microsoft Excel is a great tool overall. It has been a great tool to organize information in a work environment. The icons at the top of the excel files make it easy to create and edit information.

Using Microsoft Excel, makes it easy to organize things for my work environment. It is easy to save and find those items that are readily used at the top of the spreadsheet for everyday usage.

There are templates but I don't feel the templates have enough choices. For instance, I was looking for a calendar that had weekly dates and daily times that I could customize for daily 24-hour periods but there was none. If it was there in the choices, I really could not find it, and I ended up using different software in order to create the schedule I needed. I wanted to create my own calendar but could not. Anytime I want to try to create something new in excel, it becomes a challenge as a beginner user. The help function is at times not user friendly for beginners. I usually would have to ask a coworker for assistance or go through multiple YouTube feeds to get an understanding of tasks I want to learn quickly. In the case of the calendar, the help function seemed to only refer me to templates based on the drop-down choices.

A program that allows you to do calculations without using any other program, except for very detailed analysis (logistic regression) (non parametric regression) (manova). A program that is so large that it is impossible to use or know how to use all its add-ons.

When an error is made in the analysis, it does not say what caused the error.

Leveraging Data Old School but Reliant

주석: It has been great tool with the reputation it has built over the years and also the bandwidth of features it helps every type of business.

Excel has been our go to tool for any type of data and reporting purposes. We as a company and I personally have so much time invested in Excel because of the the way data gets structure in a more efficient way that helps dive deep into data and leverage it as per our business needs.

The limitation on Pivot table type and also the graph type which are invited and pretty basic too. Sometimes the reason behind formulas not working is not very clear but vague.

Microsoft Excel gives me a professional rep

주석: It’s an excellent software, for budgets as well as tracking various grant applications. And I can access it at anytime - which is enormously helpful too.

I really do like creating Excel spread sheets. I love how it keeps me organized. I also appreciate being able to add rows or columns as needed at anytime. This has allowed my listing of various grant applications and all the pertinent information updated.

I disliked how intimidating it seemed at first. All these little boxes that I sometimes to learn how to accurately fill. But I got over that quickly, and now can’t imagine doing my work without it.

Crucial for Organizing

I love that excel is really the only platform that does what it does. Excel allows multiple tabs, and ensures you can really keep track of everything line by line. While I love excel, I wish it was easier. It has taken me a long time to learn the features and functions and I use it everyday and still don't know them all. Whenever an off key is added, suddenly it freezes my screen and almost impossible to stop whatever is happening.

Calculations and formula interpretation is the major of excel. I worked a lot on data analysis and I used the formula feature frequently. I also like the tutorials and help section in excel. The most feature I like is the Pivot table because it is just an wide level of analysis in a single sheet. Just by putting rows and columns in appropriate way, I can generate a lot of things like revenue, profits, productivity, production data and much more. The Microsoft internal software networking within word, put and excel is too good. The dashboard creation of excel works for me and also speaks for me because it is doing a work of 10 people. I love it.

My cons are also on formula. I like to have a separate formula section in excel where we are able to see formula which we can used or which are applicable. This update can solve a lot of things automatically without using YouTube.

The life with a spreadsheet

주석: I've been dealing with MS Excel for almost 8 years now starting with the basic use during my studies till the professional use when I was at work and it was literally one of the things that changed my life and way of thinking, whenever I wanted to do a task that was required from me all I needed to do is to search for a function or equation or a way on excel to make it easier and from only this, I learnt to always search for different things to learn from the internet.
I will describe excel as a way of life.

• With MS excel you are able to deal with hundreds of data categorized and organized. • It assists in comparing, sorting, calculating & a lot of different uses in our daily work routine. • As a live example I use the tool every day as my work needs a lot of data entry with sorted documentation under a variety of inputs, with this tool in hand you can finish these tasks within normally an hour, but if you used normal documentation tools it will probably take weeks.

• The struggle that you will face at the start of the usage, sometimes excel could be more sophisticated to people who didn't deal with pc toolings to be specific how to get the most advantages of the tool you are using. • Interfacing with excel doesn't require a skill it requires a total understanding of the tool to make the best use of it, if you don't know the features of the tool a job could take a long time compared to knowing the function that may help you do it faster.

Similarly Excell that the spreadsheet can be customized according to the tastes of who uses it, and according to the end of the information that is expected to meet in order to meet specific needs. It also allows multiple spreadsheets to be handled in a single file, which even gives the tools to connect them together. At the time of printing allows to hide information that is considered not relevant to display, even if the information from a previous spreadsheet is required, it can be copied to another sheet to work on it, leaving the original intact. 주석: Microsoft Excel is the total package, it's excellent for keeping data in spreadsheets. However, this is by no means a replacement for databases. Although the more basic functions of Excel is pretty straightforward and intuitive, the more advanced features do require the users to have a certain amount of training. Training on the other hand, is quite easy to come by, as a certified Microsoft Office Specialist myself (Office 2010), the training that is not as difficult as people say it is as long as you put in the effort to learn it, the benefits in terms of productivity is well-worth it. To me, in my opinion, Excel is at the top of the game when it comes to spreadsheet applications, other ones just don't feel as intuitive as Excel and that is where I feel Excel has the edge over them.

+ Really easy to use. Some training might be needed to fully take advantage of its features. + Mistakes can be avoided really easily if you know how to use their formulas. You don't need to manually count and insert all the data by yourself, it's automated once you get the hang of it. + A lot of data visualization options to choose from. Data analysis is made simple with this, really useful if you have a plethora of data to work with. + There's a 'free-mium' online version available. It's essentially free but you can fork out some money if you want to purchase it (There are some differences between the free Online version and the retailed software, and they're all listed in Microsoft Excel Online's support documentation). The online version also allows the files to be shared to, and be editied multiple people, which is really useful if they are working on the same project in different areas where they are unable to get the files in person. + Integration with OneDrive (Microsoft's Cloud service) for both the online and retail version is available. + The business subscription deal isn't expensive considering it being bundled with other Microsoft Office applications.

- Spelling mistakes won't be auto-corrected like they do in Microsoft Word. It would a pretty useful feature if it's applied here. - Lower end computers might have some difficulties working with spreadsheets that have a lot of data. Optimization could be better, especially how most office workstations do not have expensive hardware to work with.

Microsoft Excel - Most complete and advance spreadsheet application

주석: My over all experience with the software has been nothing but awesome and wouldn't not trade it for any other spreadsheet application on the market. My main love of the software is the ability to record and or write macros using the VBA editor, on a basic, intermediate and advance level which really streamline my day to day workflow which saves me hundreds of hours on and average.

Microsoft Excel - is one of the most complete and advance spreadsheet application currently on the market. The better question would be, what can't it accomplish as this is an application that is used across the board in many companies and careers. It has an awesome ribbon feature which houses many groups of frequently used tools and is super customizable. I doubt that there is any one person that can house all knowledge about this one application. Just to list a few of what can be done: * Write basic, intermediate and advance formulas and functions to carry out your day to day work. * Create basic, intermediate and advance conditional formatting to style your sheet and or highlight specific areas and or thing on the spreadsheet to draw focus. * You can create your own custom group to house your own list of preferred tools to be available at your finger tips. * It comes equipped with a quick access toolbar to hold frequently used tools right at the top of the sheet which is super easy to access and is something I use at all times while carrying out my day to day routines. * I love the clean and improved UI [User Interface] version over version. * It has collapsible tabs and commands to give you more screen real estate when working on small screen devices and or monitors. * The Developer option is the go to tab when working with VBA and Marcos. * It comes equipped with the option to record and or write macros using the VBA editor, allowing you to automate your work flow.

I am not able to think about a con at the moment with so many pros available.

Excel will always be a classic staple of being a white-collar professional

주석: Overall, Excel has and seemingly always will be a classic staple of the professional work life. For analysts, it's a must-have product but even for the average professional, Excel can bring a level of organization in data management that other platforms simply do not provide. It's hard to state if Excel is worth the money... at this point Excel dominates the market and there's very little in terms of competition (aside from Google Sheets, I can't even think of another tool). I couldn't function properly without Excel but here's hoping that another competitor enters the fray in what is essentially a monopoly.

While Google Sheets acts as a close competitor, for those of us who need the sophisticated capabilities that Excel provides, there really is no substitute. The ability to automate processes through advanced formulas and macros makes Excel the only solution for those seeking to manage and clean data. Mass adoption is a double-edged sword. Despite Excel offering a lot of value to the user, there's very little in terms of substitutes to even consider. If you coworkers, colleagues and clients use Excel, you need it as well if you hope to send them spreadsheets. The Microsoft Suite suffers from a range of technical bugs that seems to get resolved only sporadically. Every time a new version of Excel is released (usually once every few years), some aspect of the user experience ends up changing. To those of us who have ingrained habits in terms of where to find specific buttons or memorizing certain shortcuts, the changes can be frustrating.

Best Spreadsheet Software for Office Use

주석: Excel is a great spreadsheet for office use. Microsoft really put a good ideas into its functions. The software is meant for everyone, depending on how you choose to use it. I worked with Excel for 2 years in my internship, and without it, I doubt if our works will be any less easy. It’s is well organized, user interface is clean and easy to work on once you can use the software.
Apart from the cons listed above, Excel is a life saver and I’m yet to see any good competitor in the market, and to think Excel comes with other Microsoft tools which is a benefit.

For Business usage, Excel is the best spreadsheet software out there; perfect for record keeping. The best part about Excel is it’s perfect for everyone no matter your business niche. I did my intern in a property management company, we use excel for all property informations, especially on incomes and expenses. Excel made my work easy and fast, especially for calculating, data can be easily manipulated without stress of high knowledge on computer usage. I learned to use excel and was able to work on few things, I have helped friends to create graphs for their project. Excel can also help users in creating some other calculations like Statistics or Calculus; users can also create datas in table format, perfect for presentation. Calculations are accurate, so no need to worry about errors (except for human errors). The software have varieties of features that just work like a charm, most of which people don’t know. My most favourite thing of the software is the clean interface and easy management of data which helps in getting work done fast.

단점:

Even though I love this software for its functions, there are still few cons about it. My first problem about it will be the difficulty in learning. Learning Excel can be very overwhelming, this isn’t a software that can be learn by oneself, rather you'll seek for someone to teach you or go out and take classes and you’ll be surprise on how much people you’ll meet there, I think Video Tutorials works best, sometimes I do forget some functions and going back to the video just work great. It will take a lot of commitment to learn this software perfectly. Another cons to this software will be inability to correct errors, although this is human error and not the software’s but once you enter wrong information on the software, it will give wrong solutions and you won’t know this unless if you’re suspicious. Microsoft also need to rest on changing the user interface of the software, I wanted to use Excel on my friend’s PC with 2013 version of Microsoft Office Tools, I was lost for few moment; most features’ location was changed from how they were on my version and it made work a bit difficult.

Organize Your Life

주석: In the last 12 months I've had nearly 90 doctor visits and medical tests scheduled. I don't like to use a calendar so I created a scrolling spreadsheet that tracks date, time, doctor’s name, purpose, etc. when I book a new appointment I just put it at the bottom of the list, highlight all future appointments and sort. It automatically inserts my appointment in the proper place. After I've gone to an appointment I simply change the background color. This makes appointments so much easier and I can also go back and refer to appointments I've had in the past. I also like to collect silver coins. Every month I buy a few coins and on my page I have a button that connects me to a website that gives me the current silver spot price. I have projections on what my investment would be at different prices and every time I change the spot price or add more coins it changes everything on the spreadsheet. These are just a few of the things I do to stay organized. In the old days I had things written down on sheets of paper thrown in a box, it would take me forever to find what I was looking for. Those days are long gone. And none of this has even touched on how I use Excel for my business.

Of course I use Microsoft Excel for my business but now I also use it to organize my personal life with great success. I created a book with 16 pages that keep track of different aspects of my life. I'm a cancer patient so needless to say I have many medical issues to oversee. I have a page that tracks my appointments, one that tracks all my doctors’ phone numbers. I have a page for all my medications and even a page that records my monthly walking mileage. With Excel it's easy to create spreadsheets that can manage just about anything you want. I've been using Excel for more than a decade and I use it every day. The formulas are very easy to use; they ask you intuitive questions and then insert the answer properly in the formula. I also enjoy colorizing the pages I create, and adding my own personal touch. I highly recommend Microsoft Excel not just as a business application that is a way to manage your entire life.

Microsoft Excel does so much it can seem overwhelming and intimidating. The key is to just use it for what you need, but if you do need a complex formula, Excel can do it. The program itself has a good help menu and there is plenty of online help. There are amply online forums and you can also contact Microsoft itself for answers. Excel Can also be a little pricey but if you get it as part of Office 2019 or Office 365 it has much more value. In the Office bundle, besides Excel you get Word, Publisher, Outlook and with 365 you get cloud storage.

Using Excel for Data Organization

There is a decent learning curve, so if you plan on using it, be sure to set aside some time to learn about the different features and how you can make them work best for you. If you are looking for something simple, it may not be the best choice for you. But if you are looking for ways to easily input scores and get lots of helpful data back, then Excel would be a good choice for you.

Microsoft Excel is a powerful program. As a teacher, I deal with a lot of student data. Excel allows me to organize this data and set up formulas that break down the numbers for me. Some of the Excel sheets I have created set up basics for me like individual student averages, median scores, etc. It also allows conditional formatting, that automatically assigns selected color choices based on the data. For instance, I have my gradebook set up that scores that fall below 60% automatically change to a red color background. This allows me to easily see the data overview as I look at my different classes. Microsoft Excel has allowed me to analyze data more effectively as a teacher keep all of my scores in one convenient location.

The setup of an Excel sheet can be a little confusing at times. It takes some time practice to get everything in the right spot and looking the way you want it to look. Part of the reason for this is because there are so many options with Excel. It can be a little overwhelming for someone who is not a power user. But once you figure out what you want to do, it is easy enough to use the help features and set up the sheet as you would like it to be.

Easy Office Tool to create Complex Tables and Charts

주석: I typically used Excel to solve the business problem of measuring incremental impact of marketing campaigns - did those campaigns drive incremental or new customer growth or did they sell new food or restaurant products which were not purchased prior to the campaign. Excel allows me to visually show trend in total cases sold by month so I can show to category team and vendors if there was an year-over-year lift in cases of items targeted in campaigns or in the overall category to which those items belong. Excel charts enable easy visualization of incremental customer or product growth by creating charts.

Microsoft Excel allows me to import thousands of rows of marketing data from web analytics software. I can then analyze it to see success metrics such as trend in year-over-year growth in new customers, cases sold, merchandising category such as grocery, etc. This analysis can be done by creating column or bar charts which show both a spike and lift in traffic or conversions during periods when the marketing campaigns ran. So, I can quickly correlate the lift or drop in performance to when the marketing campaigns started and when they ended. I can also use advanced analytics functions such as vLookup or pivot charts to associate email addresses to those customers who didn't purchase so my marketing team can run re-targeting campaigns against them. Or, deduplicate function to remove duplicates and extract a unique set of customer ids and names so I can run business intelligence reports against them.

Microsoft Excel uses significant ram of a computer when number of rows being analyzes is in thousands. Or, if multiple files of Excel are open simultaneously. In such scenarios, Excel crashes and all open files close. It has to be restarted and not all changes are saved in backup versions of the files. Unless Excel being used is part of the cloud version of Microsoft Office also called Office 360. Similar challenges are faced when using advanced analysis functions like vLookup. When using vLookup against thousands of rows and multiple columns, Excel hogs more ram and slows down cpu so whole system freezes.

Regular user of Excel 2019 Pro... I like it!

주석: For the money, it is an overall excellent performer that has never gotten stuck....bug free. It can handle large lists of numbers quite well (up to 1,048,576 rows or 16,384 columns). Obviously, if you need to do data exploration like a Data Scientist on tens of millions of rows then you'd want to look at a different tool. The main target audience is general business. I've used Excel on the job since the mid 1980's.

Sometimes you might need to record your business travel related expenses and time, to get reimbursed, but you don't have expensive software to track it online. Other times, you might want a quick chart, to explain a trend in some transaction data being measured. Yet other times, you might want to collaborate, to allow other users to update a spreadsheet in real-time without waiting for one user to finish, unlock, then notify the rest. Power users might want to use it's equation solver, such as for a curve fit to some data points. I had written VBA macros behind the scenes, to extract some data to a separate new page, perform calculations, and save a result on a network drive automatically. Excel 2019 is a rock solid performer that does not get stuck. For communicating out your typical company financial reports, Excel is the general industry standard.

단점:

I would like to see more flexibility to specify different types of curved line charts, bordering on the scientific. At times, making changes is less intuitive, such as when plotting multiple lines on the same chart with a moving average line, and with the kind of intervals and tick mark labels you want. If it just did a little more then I wouldn't need to export the data to something else (like Python) to do it the hard way.

This is my thing...!! Excel is more than anything...!!

주석: I have been working daily over it in my last job of Customer Success Executive. Most of the work was related to data handling and data validation. I have to maintain and sort the data as per the reports were arranged in such formats assigned to us and they required all the Excel's statistical and mathematical formulas. Apart from that, I also creates different graphs and charts for weekly and monthly office and client meetings. Also need to create daily client reports containing only the data arrangement and pie charts over it. I always had a group of sheets and I need to arrange them throughout the day using almost all the tools of Excel.

The most impactful features according to me are pivoting of the table, sorting of the tabulated data and adding formulas to the sheet and calculating large data. Apart from this, there are many other features like VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, CONCATENATE, etc. From all the above things I can say proudly that this tool is very easy to use and understand. Any new user can learn all the basic and advanced functions of it within a short span of time. My organization were using all the above features and also more, as we were managing data and sheets containing much confidential data of our very important clients. We use sorting and validation features and also the password protection to make secure the sheets. Also, using it for isolate variable data area and exception reporting with Conditional formatting.

단점:

As overall this is a great tool, but somehow some features which are needed at some point of time are missing and needs to be brought up by vendor like you cannot create or edit named ranges, no cell notes, no macro support, no links to other spreadsheets and no solver or other add-ins. By regular use, it is a very easy tool but for beginners it becomes difficult sometimes to understand to use the Conditional formatting, Pivot Tables, Print Optimisation, VLOOKUP, etc. My organization was not facing any kind of difficulty as all were trained good for using excel as it was very important part of our daily job routine. So, overall the experience was good using this tool.

Best software to manage and huge data

주석: My overall experience with the software was great as I store all the data of my company on the sheets of excel only because it's easy to understand and manage. I also able extract analysis of data after every few months which makes it even more useful. I will say that excel is best data handling software developed till now.

The best thing about the software is that it works offline. You can store huge data and make them in presentable and understandable form with the help of Microsoft Excel. It has rows and columns which makes it even more professional and useful with help of formulas you can analyse huge data analyze it in just a few seconds. It has a lot of different tools to make the working of data management much easier.

The formulas used in the software are a little difficult to learn and if you wanna use them for basic use then it's good otherwise for using shortcuts you will have to learn it properly by taking its course because excel is not something which anyone can understand and learn in few days and if your document corrupts for some reason then you will lose your all data.
