The pricing of 3d Max is quite expensive starting from $215 per month. The user interface looks old, makes difficult to find important tools and features. Needs heavy computing power.

My favourite tools

주석: it's a tool that has enabled me to create very realistic architectural models

It's still a major tool for 3D creation and still very useful in Vfx, with its new Boolean modifier that allows more complex assets to be modelled, for example.

단점:

this tool has a very attractive interface with lots of buttons and very flexible windows, its character rigging system is very detailed to set up

Way too expensive for people

주석: I wont use it again unless i have to, but its still a good software.

장점:

The amount of tutorials, and the high class support from the autodesk team. Its a very powerfull software.

단점:

Its way too expensive. I get its worth that to big companys, but you need to learn it somhow. I was lucky to have a student license, but otherwise you only have 30 day trail to learn it.

The key to realistic renderings

주석: I love the flexibility of 3ds Max. Whether it's architectural or character design, this program can render great results. I currently use this program for architectural modeling, but there are many times where I enjoy the ability to custom design something very unique within the same program.

I love the familiarity with the interface. It's consistently stayed similar over the past 15 years that I've used this program. The interface is easy to understand, but also requires a level of expertise to run the software. This program is the best 3d modeling and rendering software on the market as it's proven itself over and over.

단점:

The price is the main downside for this software. It's definitely an investment year over year.

Best software for material mapping but has fallen behind in rendering

3ds Max is very easy to create animations and map materials. Very good for high end renders. Its also good at processing very large file sizes

단점:

There isn't preset lighting and the render times are much longer than other software when wanting quick renders

I find 3ds Max to be an extremely comprehensive 3D modeling and animation software that offers many advantages. 3D Studio Max - Honest Review 2021

주석: 3d Studio Max is the best 3d software for creating interior designs and architectural visualizations. Used by industries and gaming studios.

1)Simple Interface: 3ds Max interface is comparatively simpler than other advanced 3d software. 2)User-created scripts and plugins.: 3ds Max’s can be customized using Max scripts which can be used to create incredible designs with simple codes. Max Script is relatively easy for artists to learn. 3)Edit Poly Modifier: 3d studio Max offers edit poly modifier which allows you to stack modifiers and is comparatively better for 3D modelling than other 3d softwares. 4)Strong Renderer: 3D studio max has super rendering capacities, time-saving animation options and mapping workflow tools. 5)Viewport: It has Perspective Match tool, vector map support and better particle system.

단점:

1) Stiff learning curve. Need training for learning the software properly. 2) Expensive. It offers a student license though. 3) It's not cross-platform. 4) Works smoothly on high-end systems.

The most thing I liked is the ease of dealing with the program and the multiplicity of interfaces a wonderful and light feature when using and gives amazing results in the work of projects facilitates the designer to see its design before implementation and facilitates the implementation engineer in the speed and accuracy of implementation after taking out the shop drawing of the design

The least I liked was the lack of merging the materials in the same file as the sketchup program to reduce the movement of the project and the use of paths to define the materials

A software for 3D modeling and animation.

주석: Based on my experience of about twelve months, I find that it is a powerful and particularly versatile software for advanced modeling.

3ds max is worth it

주석: I'm very satisfied with the product they have at Autodesk its more user friendly than people think i made something with it in the first day

i can use it along with my other media programs to make graphics or animations

nothing i have not had hardly anything go wrong with it ,if it did it was my machines fault

주석: I really enjoyed this app and I still using it of course ,I think it is the most amazing 3D software ever ,it is allows you to use the render software you want to ,they didn't force you to use specific render software, I really recommended it.

I have used this software for more than four years ,first of all they give you one year free using if you are a student or a teacher so it is very helpful, and the second thing which is the most important thing the reality that the software give you is very high even if you don't advanced in it, you can import files from AutoCAD and illustrator so it is make the work more easy than beginning from zero.

단점:

the least thing that I like is that the software has so much orders you must know ,and the second thing that they was giving the students three years of free using but now they give them just a year why?!

Advanced software for 3D Visualization

주석: In my 10+ years of experience in my 3D design career 3Ds max its my one of best software help me out to visualize the contents for the clients out in the market.

Its getting more advanced in the new version of applications. Its always my best 3d Visualization software for my career.

3ds Max - highs and lows

주석: After a few years using it, it turned out being great, I've created successful game assets and product presentations. I also like about it that it supports the majority of the plugins offered by the market that enhance its options, like realistic renderings.

I like about 3ds Max that it's easy to use, friendly interface and comprehensive official tutorials. You can go from sketch to finish even on professional projects like triple A games, and even in movie industry.

단점:

The interface lacks antialiasing, it lags sometimes on low-poly objects and the shading viewport model could use some work.

Older But Better

주석: So far so good, because it's the first 3D software that I used, and there's no other can really competes.

Old name in 3D software. When an old timer still stands for decades, it only shows one thing: quality. And that's what I found so far in 3DS Max. Period.

The newer version of this software demanding numerous resources that an older PC can't deliver.

I have been using this for about 4 years the student version and yet getting to know new features. this very advanced in 3D modelling and rendering. I could go for whatever the idea I had with this. This is great as I felt.

It took me a while to get to used to this other than that this is fantastic and perform very well. I see nothing bad to consider.

Outstanding 3D Package

Good software for modeling and rendering realistic scenery

주석: My overall experience with 3DS Max was good. The interface is easy to learn and use with many different viewsports. Zooming and panning around inside the software is very easy. I like that you can install add-ons for the software, i like to render scenery, including oceans and this software renders realistic oceans and sky.

I like the render quality as i was testing it out for rendering scenery and water. I like that i could Vue Xstream within 3DS Max and the render quality was better than the standalone renderer in Vue.

단점:

It is fairly expensive to purchase, which was was I didnt purchase following the trial.

3DS Max Review

주석: I really like it, but I wish it would cost a lot less!

장점:

The ability to key frame and animate quickly for prototyping. This makes showing progress on an animation way faster!

단점:

The Object mapping is a little confusing it took a while for me to figure out how to map a skin to an object with texture.

benefits and struggles of 3ds Max

장점:

3ds Max is a well-rounded software that allows you to manage your projects from beginning to end. It allows you to showcase your designs with great quality and ease.

단점:

The interface is not beginner friendly. Even for users that already are familiar with 3d modelling and rendering softwares (and even other AutoCAD softwares) learning how to use 3ds max is a high learning curve.

Why you need to use 3DS Max

주석: My experience with the software has been interesting especially with creating 3D architectural designs.

장점:

The Architectural modeling process in this software is very interesting because it makes it easy to produce accurate structures. The rendering here is also faster and realistic and it is easy to work around materials in this software.

단점:

The software is not as user friendly as other 3D modeling software and that it has a lot tools and one can not know all of them.

To understand the concepts of 3d animation, you need this one!

주석: The camera tweening is to the point and the most easy to use and important feature that helped me with a lot of basic point to point camera movement understanding and experimentation.

장점:

The easy motion tween animation is one of the most critical features that let me to work with 3ds max.

단점:

3d basic physics settings are far too unrealistic in 3ds max for my usage. So I had to use 3rd party plugins with 3ds max to improve the physics of natural motion of objects.
