It is free. While there are some paid features we might consider in the future, the core product does what we need it to do. As the head of the event, I need to keep an eye on all the moving parts and know who is doing what and what still needs to get done.

단점:

With a name open, I'd have hoped that it would be one of those where you pay for support or implementation. However, some features are locked behind a monthly/yearly fee. If it was a one-time fee for non-profits, I'd consider it.

5 years of OpenProject usage

주석: In my team I had to change our workflow several times, I was so relieved that OpenProject was able to adapt perfectly.

- Self hosted - Very fast, and wasn’t affected by projects or users number getting larger. - Super configurable, literally everything is customisable.

단점:

- No mobile app- No real RTL support, I was forced to design a Chrome extension for my team to modify Open Project’s UI to fully support RTL on browsers. - Sometimes I had to try several minor versions (0.x.x or 0.x) in order to find the most stable one. The latest version is not always the most stable one unfortunately.

Open it is not

주석: A 'free trial' failed to provide (a) sufficient time to understand the product (b) sufficient guidance on the product before demanding I commit to signing up

주석: We are using OpenProject to manage our construction projects and they have taken a great turn since OpenProject was introduced. It has helped us to lay a strong foundation for our projects by giving our team a space to plan and schedule project tasks prior to executing them. Our experience has been great in all possible areas.

There are very impactful work planning and scheduling features in OpenProject that help streamline our projects. OpenProject security features are so powerful and keep our information safeguarded from malicious security threats. OpenProject offers us with essential workload visuals that help keep all team members up to speed with what need to be done.

The experience with OpenProject has been smooth and there is no chance left for disliking anything.

Open project - customise it all.

주석: Open project has the flexibility for you to customise your projects to work just how you need them to work. If you take the time to set it up, it will fulfill your needs.

- needs basic refinement - can be buggy - steep learning curve

OpenProject - One of the best online project management software

I started using this open source project management software when we switched our team to an Agile software development process and it has really helped us manage our projects and fix problems. The wide range of features and user-friendly interface makes it one of the best online project management tools available.

단점:

Open source, but not really. The free version is missing key functionalities like resource allocation or leveling.

Prescription for Flexibility and Efficiency in Project management

주석: OpenProject is a reliable long-term partner for handling tasks/projects workflows. I highly recommend it to those looking for an efficient tool to plan and manage their career responsibilities.

I like the flexibility it gives us during project's lifecycle. We are free to make any necessary changes when needed without interfering with the projects deadlines by changing task prioritization, reassigning tasks and allocating more time to urgent tasks. With OpenProject our projects have been more interactive and fun! and it's now impossible to meet deadlines. Another aspect that I find extremely handy is how it supports diverse projects from different industries thanks to lots of customization options available. I think OpenProject is on the right track of claiming a top spot in the project management spectrum.

So far it has been a great tool, but I can't wait to see what future improvements they have in store for us.

OpenProject: Simple, Competitive and Reliable

If I'm to give one word that perfectly describes OpenProject it will have to be "SIMPLICITY". It is easy to use and implementation is straightforward and completely self-service. All customization and integration capabilities are accessible and well described in the online documentation, it's impossible to get stuck along the way. The way OpenProject Stresses on cloud data security, confidentiality and privacy is remarkable. We are able to share updates (project status) with the relevant stakeholders without giving them full access to specific project's internal details.

단점:

I haven't encountered any aspect that OpenProject falls short of my expectations.

From where I sit, there is a lot to like about OpenProject. It is extremely versatile and easy to use. It lets our teams and faculties seamlessly collaborate on projects and stay on the same page even though they're spread in our different branches across the country. It has been a fundamental tool in eliminating the confusion that would arise especially when dealing with complex projects as we can prioritise tasks, monitor and track progress in real time, assign/reassign tasks(when necessary) as well as the flexibility to customise it to match our company's specific requirements.

단점:

Nothing comes to my mind that I dislike.

OpenProject was the most influential implementation in 2020. I like that I access a lot of features under one dashboard. Project management, Gantt and time tracking are the most iconic tools so far.

Whats most impactful about the tool is the fact that it comes with a breadth of features that helps in project and strategy planning. When managing a team you need a tool that gives you a realtime progress of the project and be able to assign and reasign. A tool for such a task id OpenProject. Integration is no high level with different cloud softwares.

We have not exp[erinced any challenge with our integration. Its worthy.

Ever since I implemented OpenProject, it has never been daunting to manage projects and tasks since it reduced manual workload replacing it with automations.

OpenProject doesn’t offer freemium version, but it is quite affordable.
