EDB Postgres - Cloud Based Postgres Solutions
주석: We have chosen EDB Postgres mainly for the technical support and for the cloud solutions. Using the PPCD console we can spin up the database cluster in AWS which is also having the hardware scaling options. Instance type also we can scale up and scale down manually
장점:
EDB Postgres is having both Datacenter(PPAS) and Cloud(PPCD) solutions. PEM monitoring can be integrated with EDB which helps us to see the query performance using EDB solution.
단점:
Need more cloud related solutions and the Marketplace subscription fees needs to be reduced.
Good and stable product and good customer support

장점:
Full text search is good. Good IDE for writing queries and managing Databases. It supports users and roles. We can scale well . It supports two phase commit. Good customer support. It supports sql profiling
단점:
Multi-process architecture some times troubles the development environment. Two phase commit blocks until a commit or rollback is received. Support and product is little expensive
A potential replacement for the High paid databases

1. Supports both kind of tables SQL & Oracle , like in create table I had used a mix of sql and oracle data types. 2.Support for creating user defined types, currently present only in oracle is available. 3.Nested table is supported, creation of collection type variable is achievable 4. Package creation is available, having separate specification and body. 5. Exception handling - Support available for most commonly used exceptions like
단점:
Customer support needs improvement, the turn around time to resolve a production related issue should be reduced. Must guarantee business continuity
