The deployment and app integration with Okta is fairly simple. The tool is very admin friendly and user friendly. It's due to it's ease of use and wide variety of features that it offers, it is one of the best IAM tools and regarded as one of the best SSO solutions out there. The SSO integration is very simple and straightforward with most of the apps and most of the vendors that support SSO integration with Okta. The option to have an independent directory as well as an option to integrate with your existing directory works quite well. Other features such as life cycle management, Directory service and threat management make it a complete package. If cost is not an issue, this is should be the tool to go to. The documentation is very clear and the supoort is very responsive. The deployment takes less than 3 months.

The only downside is the cost which is much higher as compared to its competitors

주석: We had a terrible experience with Okta. Our sales rep left out very important details that would have dissuaded us signing up. First, the SSO paywall for 3rd parties is so massive and of course they left out that detail. For $12k per year, our costs would exceed $50k in 3rd party charges, just to connect the core apps we use on a daily basis. Second, they said Okta would work seemlessly for our customer service reps, who check in on email accounts and different software services that we use; however, after talking to 3 customer service reps, we found out that we could not achieve this using Okta, making this all-or-nothing deal fall short of our needs. Thirdly, they insisted that we pay them to get support on the product that they sold us on. I would highly recommend first googling "SSO wall of shame" and thinking twice about signing with Okta. They are hounding us to pay for year 2 when we did not even launch it in year 1. Steer clear of these guys, they will bait and switch and they only care about signing new customers.

More impressive, Okta easily flexes towards compliance of ever-changing regulations and management of diverse application access.

More support during the onboarding phase would be helpful.

Effective credential management

I like Okta for its effective credential sign in system which is fool proof. I also like the frequest patch updates.

The customer service needs to resolve tickets at the earliest.

A handy cloud engine for improved productivity

What I most liked about it was it's integrity with the cloud, and was able to manage all of my devices seamlessly.

It's the application limitation being 50. But that's not a problem as you can contact the customer support and increase the limitations.

I am amused with the SSO feature and how it saves my time

I should pass the auth flow dozens of times on a daily basis to various services and platforms configured on my projects.In addition to this, from the security perspective, the login and the password are not saved on my work PC, so if I had to use the standard auth flow with credentials filling, it will be very painful to repeat it so many times daily.The SSO helps me to pass the authentication just using my phone, it is very handy!I can verify my identity by clicking the button on my smart watches, or I am able to confirm the 2FA with my cell number usage.

We have integrated Okta with most of our apps. With MFA enabled you need to download Okta app on your phone and accept the push to login. I have been using this for more than a year and has been working fine so far. Integrations with Okta have been ok was able to read through documentation and proceed with integration. There is single page which shows all the okta enabled apps which is cool too.

단점:

There is some delay in push notifications at times. Also in case you loose your phone then you are caught up since you need phone to login and need to work with helpdesk to get it sorted.

The best SSO I have used so far!

주석: I use it multiple times a day, to access everything on my work environment and it has never failed, not a single time in over one year, that's a 5 start software!

I have used many other SSO software apps in the past, Okta is by far the best of them all, safe, easy to use and user friendly!

Maybe just the fact than a Okta window remains open after you use it and you have to go and manually close it everytime, but it's not a big deal.

OKta the one stop solution for all your tools and password related problem

It's fairly easy to deploy and integrate an app using Okta. The programme has excellent admin and user friendliness. It is one of the best IAM tools and one of the top SSO solutions because of how simple it is to use and the diversity of capabilities it provides. Most apps and most providers that allow SSO interaction with Okta have very basic and straightforward SSO connectivity. Both the option to create a separate directory and the option to merge with your current directory function pretty nicely. It is a comprehensive product when combined with additional capabilities like threat management, Directory service, and life cycle management. This should be done even if cost is not a concern.

The item takes some underlying setting up the item has many elements that can appear to be exceptionally confounding and the cost goes up with every one of the highlights you want fundamentally for every client

Reliability and fluidity in identity management

It allows a good workflow and effective management that minimizes risks. It is highly scalable and easy to use. The self-service it offers allows end users to request a new access without any complications. It allows you to manage the life cycle of a user and the resources and responsibilities to which they have access.

단점:

Although it is an effective and secure platform, its initial installation is very complicated, it presents many configurations.

I No Longer Have to Remember Passwords!

주석: I love it. In the future, if I ever get my own business off the ground, I will definitely be considering OKTA as a software that we will use.

At my company, we had separate logins for SO MANY PLATFORMS. And you know how it goes - each password has to contain a certain number of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, special characters, etc. It was getting so hard to remember passwords, and I was getting sick of having to reset my password every time I logged into something. OKTA solved that problem for me. By navigating to the OKTA page, I could click on one of the "tiles", and it would log me into that platform. Made my life 100x easier.

단점:

Occasionally, I would have issues logging into OKTA itself, which made it impossible to log into my other apps. This was a bug that our IT team seemed to fix. Aside of that, a lot of my issues turned out to be user-error. Once I received training for OKTA, all of my problems were resolved.

Great User Experience and Easy Administration

Our users save minutes every single day, no longer repetitively typing and re-typing their directory password. When we have had issues with applications, their support has been extremely responsive. They also take what the community builds as custom applications and will roll those into the app library as they put polish on them and make them ready for prime time.

단점:

The only downside to Okta is cost. We know these systems are not cheap and Okta is one of the premium models for sure. We decided that with a system which was so user intensive and users had to touch many times per day for logging into applications, we were not willing to sacrifice usability for what came down to not a lot of money. I will tell you that the list pricing on their website is very negotiable. If you can find some other customers to talk pricing to you you'll know that good deals are there if you work it correctly with your account team and their sales cycle.
