ARENA review 9-16-24, primary user.

주석: Awesome tool once you get practiced using it. I have been an ARENA user for about 10 years and still have some difficulty with the features I do not use regularly. Overall, it is a powerful tool that serves our needs well.

장점:

ARENA does exactly what we need it to do. It has the flexibility to handle all our documentation.

단점:

Not the most intuitive, quite a substantial learning curve to get proficient with it.

Arena is growing on me!

주석: I have only been using Arena for about 6 months now and at first i did not like it all. However, in the short time that I have been a user there has already been a few updates for further improvement. I really love how involved they are with understanding their customer needs and putting customer service first.

장점:

I like that arena has an account manager that for your company that is always available to answer your questions or point you in the right direction. I love how their website has helpful Q&As and videos so when it is a smaller question, you can solve it on your own.

단점:

My least favorite thing about Arena is the training world. It is lacking be able to send retraining to individuals and have other unique features.

Functional but could have better usability

장점:

The search menu is intuitive and easy to use

단점:

Creating new entries and searching doesn't have any smart features like auto complete.

Love the Organizational Aspect of Arena PLM

주석: I work with Arena PLM in a "user" capacity versus an "administrative" capacity. It's quick and easy to input the information needed to process DCOs.

장점:

The best part of Arena PLM for me is the organizational aspect of the platform that allows me to stay on task. It's a fantastic time saver.

단점:

Nothing, everything is good about Arena PLM; especially the fact that new enhancements are added often.

OEM Business Manager

주석: Excellent. Really appreciate the technical support. Knowledgeable and responsive

장점:

Easy to use. Custom reporting. Feature rich.

단점:

Weak control of regulatory items such as RoHS/REACH

Solid Quality Product

주석: It works well for our companies needs for our quality system! We can control the process of uploading and revving documentation for our product with relative ease!

장점:

Allows our company to collaborate on releasing and control documents and trainings

단점:

The UI is semi clunky and takes time to learn and parse

Arena PLM Review

주석: Using Arena PLM has been straightforward and easy to teach to other cross-sector teams.

장점:

- User friendly interface - Clear routing and approvals - Easy administrative backend controls

단점:

Arena had no notable cons or points of concern.

Arena PLM and E-QMS

주석: Gain of time and reliability of information, especially during audits.

장점:

The centralisation of all documentation, quality and development processes, and the ease with which they can be monitored.

단점:

BOM Management. It is not possible to freeze a BOM with defined revisions. When a children Item is updated, it is automatically pushed in BOM.

Preferred over Windchill, but still leaves a bit to be desired

주석: Overall, I'm happy with my interaction with Arena.

장점:

I love the simplicity of some functions that other PTC products, like Windchill, overly complicate.

단점:

There's no way to truly customize the dashboard to show ALL items where you are involved - instead of creating a quick link to a search which opens a separate window view of Changes I have open, I want to see a direct list of items I have open. It would also be nice if it could develop an interface to SolidWorks so we wouldn't have to use a convoluted process of getting our information between both programs.

Arena Impression

주석: I have had great experiences with Arena, I have been able to access everything I needed pretty quickly.

Since I started using Arena, it has been reliable.

단점:

Some days the server can be a bit slow but not for too long

Review of EQMS Useage

주석: The above being said, I do feel we have realized benefits from using the system in the way of organization and being able to process changes in the way they should be.

장점:

I do like the Engineering Change function and that fact that with the change function as well as others you can attach files.

단점:

I do not like the fact that some of the features needed for quality functions have to be made in the Quality World and require alot of clicks for approvals, complete etc. Currently to set up annual procedure reviews we are having to set it up as a project for notifications to go out 1 year from last revision. One of the most troubling areas for me is that if something changes in one document, such as a revision to a stated value the system does not provide you a list of all documents that the value is found in as some other systems do. For Engineering I think a very good system; for the actual needed quality actions I feel there are some areas lacking. Also have not been able to find an escalation process.

Arena review

장점:

Arena is a straightforward tool to learn and use.

단점:

The search feature within Arena is terrible and it seems to get stuck with Chrome and firefox unless cookies are deleted weekly. The search feature is limited to a limited "world", and gets stuck with limiters (e.g. search only within completed changes) that aren't apparent when starting a search. If you don't know the naming conventions used prior, Arena makes finding information time-consuming.

Easy to use, very user friendly software.

I use the software since 2014 and I love it. As I already mentioned, it's super user friendly and it takes no time to work comfortable with it. I contact support service few times and received the feedback in less then 24 hours. I like that developers listens users inquiries and improve Arena in new releases. Also it's very important that they provide webinars before software updates and send video that Administrators can share to all users.

단점:

It's hard to say because the product is great. However I wish it would be less limitation with number of items mass uploading. For example sometimes our ECOs have more then 100 items but we can not upload more then 50 in one shot

Great for planning an expansion without risking huge CapEx.

주석: Overall this is a really great product. The high level actions are easy to understand, and there are even graphics that can be used as specific inputs and outputs so that a presentation can have products rather than widgets. Also, the negatives of the strange statistical anomalies really are not a big deal. An experienced operations manager or engineer will know what to pay attention to and what is noise.

장점:

This program's biggest upside is its ability to provide a testing ground for potential upgrades, expansions, or new factories, facilities, etc. without needing to spend huge dollars on a physical pilot or building or the labor cost of a time study or statistical analysis from a Black Belt or other highly paid employee

단점:

Some of the random variables do not take into account reality well enough. I understand that true AI is not possible right now, but the fact is that purely statistics based tools can produce results that would never occur in the real world (i.e. A factory only attempts to build 3 units in an entire day and 3,000 the next day because it is possible in a Poisson Process).

Daily User

주석: Overall experience has been great. Arena support, Arena Help, and pagetips is are very helpful

Searchability is a bit wonky and it causes users to be confused

Arena has so many beneficial tools it offers. I am only scratching the surface.

It can be overwhelming trying to learn everything.

Essential PLM tool for large companies

장점:

The document control, the BOM, the ability to connect multiple components of manufacturing needs via links for different projects and the 'where used' tab..it all makes Arena PLM an essential tool for any manufacturing departments

단점:

The learning curve is rather steep. You would need someone's active help to understand how it is used for your own company's needs.

Great PLM tool

장점:

Ease of use, very intuitive frontend. Customisable in many ways, can be adapted to the business

단점:

Expensive for the features it has and new features are also add-ons which need to be bought with upgraded licenses.

Arena,

주석: Support folks are good, software is stable and will allow us to present to auditors what we do and how we do it.

장점:

Integration was a bit time consuming and that is on me; should have started with initial intent (Quality process's) and then moved to items- which we finally have a grasp of.

단점:

User interface still is a hang up as we on board / cross train new folks

Very easy to get started and arrange Arena standard systems to match our way of working

주석: All documentation in one place with all spec's and info attached to the BOM. Creates overview, peace of mind, reduces time to search for info, reduces confusion in the organization etc etc

장점:

Minimal set up, only create settings to match our need, and all files, data and info is linked to items so all info is in one place

단점:

Some User interface details, like the multifunction back key, top right corner is not so intuitive, i often need to explain the function. Moving from one item one level up in the BOM is not so easy, so moving between multileve partlists is not so intuitive. Editing BOM/spec can only be done when you in that level, so you have to first go into the subassy to be bale to add/remove items. There must be a way that this is not needed so you can do it anytime as long as you see the item you want to modify.

Document Control Specialist

주석: Overall very positive. There isn't anything negative that would persuade me to not use it.

장점:

Easy to look up and retrieve information.

단점:

If only the redline can be display and be shown by itself.

Mr Negative

장점:

Flexibility of the bom output to excel and shorting

단점:

The user interface is not intuitive. too many different styles of selection for commands.

Great tool for control revision and change management. Easy to manage.

장점:

Arena Exchange, share data with contract manufactures and Supplier

단점:

We need workflow staging task for implementation.
