Efficient and fast backup tool for WordPress nevertheless lacks some power-user features

주석: I'm grateful that Duplicator Pro allows me to create customized WordPress installations so I can get started designing much quicker.

I like being able to quickly create a backup and upload it to Google Drive, where I have lots of free space. On good hosts (not GoDaddy, in other words) and small-to-medium sized sites, the backup process takes just a few minutes. If I have to move a client's site to another hosting service I rarely use plugins like Duplicator Pro. Most hosts now offer free transfers and I have better things to do with my time. Some hosts provide quick and easy transfers that require a little bit fo input by me, and that's fine. Cloudways, for instance, uses VaultPress, which I have to install and enter a few settings and some information, press a button and everything is very quickly taken care of. My favorite use of Duplicator Pro, rather than as my go-to manual backup solution (which is UpDraftPlus) is to create core templates for quickly getting a new site ready to develop. I've created a couple templates in Duplicator Pro and I have packages ready to install, complete with WordPress/WooCommerce installations and all the basic plugins I need. I customize them according to which page builder I'm using with a new client as well as what custom functionality they require. This is MUCH easier than building a basic site from scratch every time, installing plugins and settings. Ugh. Never again. Duplicator Pro makes this easy. I also like how I can choose the file format for packages. I needed to use this feature when package creation kept failing on a slow, shared host. (GoDaddy, again.

단점:

For my needs as described above, Duplicator Pro is perfect at the Personal license level. Power-users will miss a few features from other premium plugins. UpDraft, for instance, allows for incremental backups, copying and storing only the files that have changed, making for much quicker and more efficient backups as well as saving space. Duplicator Pro doesn't have this feature.

Best Cloning and Backup tool for WordPress Websites

주석: For a professional, Duplicator is a time saver and a life saver.
I always like to have a backup of the original website before starting doing my job and Duplicator helps me:
1. Copying the exact environment on my local setup
2. Keeping the original files safe
3. Cutting the time for the points above

It is easy to use and it deals with most of the situations. It helped me cut my time for migrating a website to a minimum and it also helped me keeping backups of the important websites I manage. There are other plugins that I used in the past as Duplicator, but none of them successfully achieved the user experience Duplicator is achieving, nor the technology Duplicator is offering in it's PRO version.

단점:

Sometimes, especially on big database and low resources servers, you need to get creative and fiddle long enough with the settings to make sure you take the website as it is. But still, Duplicator has lots of settings and in the end I always managed to get the data I needed.

SnapCreek made a good product, Duplicator.com ruined it

주석: It was great when it was a SnapCreek product, it was recently acquired by someone else and now goes by Duplicator.com. I purchased an unlimited site license with the understanding that it would not receive ongoing bug fixes and security updates if I do not purchase an ongoing subscription. Worked fine as a static plugin for over 2 years. Now it crashes any site you try to use it on. Reached out to support and they were not helpful at all, saying sorry but you should just pay us into perpetuity instead. Save your money. Use someone else.

It used to be relatively simple to use duplicator pro to quickly migrate WP sites from one server to another with just the plugin. Now installing an existing plugin crashes the site, and the only fix is to pay for the new post-aquisition non SnapCreek version.

단점:

Expensive, support was not helpful. There are better options out there.

A must for any web designer

주석: Overall I have had a great experience using Duplicator Pro. It has saved me hours migrating sites from the staging site to the live sites. Definitely worth it for me.

Makes migrating sites a breeze. I really like the overall ease of use of the software. I do weekly backups for my client's sites and have had no issues backing up or restoring the sites. The multisite features are probably the most useful for me. I have several multisites ranging in size. I have migrated several of them to different domains and have never had an issue. I have tried other software and have always run into problems when using the software on a multisite.

단점:

If there was some more features in the backup aspect of things. Like incremental backups would be nice. Also, a little confusing getting the settings proper on large sites. I ran into some issues trying to migrate some of my larger multisites.

It's just the simplest way to clone or backup a Wordpress site.

1. Being able to create backups directly to Dropbox on a schedule 2. Choose how many revisions I want to keep (In a very obvious manner). 3. Be able to set up omitting files 4. I can easily package client sites with a simple list of directions that they can file to move the site to the host of their choice.

단점:

1. Getting your settings just right on shared servers can be a bit finicky, as some shared hosts will throttle the process 2. Figuring out the templates.

The Quickest and Easiest Way To Clone and Transfer a Site

주석: We create test sites on our server and then upload them to other hosting providers or accounts within our hosting environment. Duplicator Pro makes it a breeze, and when time is money, that's a significant resource for our company.

The simplicity and speed in backing up client sites and copying sites to different hosting providers.

단점:

There are cases where it has taken a couple of tries to successfully copy a site to another provider, however, in most of the cases, it was due to server timeouts and not the plugin.

Duplicator Pro

주석: Duplicator Pro is a nice plugin for website backup and migration. Unless you're the type of designer who loves to work hard rather than, smart--- I recommend working with it. It's cost-effective

It's a time-saving software for web designers and this plugin is user-friendly.Most often I enjoy storing website data on cloud servers like dropbox or Google drive---since they are 100% up-running and are quite secure too (especially dropbox). With my data stored in these cloud locations, my websites are guaranteed to run smoothly and fast.Duplicator Pro makes the website migration process very simple and the customer support service is very responsive. The company provides regular updates which are quite helpful. The updates comprise a variety of fix logs which improves the plugin's performance.The pro version is, even more, better because it offers a lot of possibilities for backup and migration and it's not even exorbitant like others.

Duplicator Pro is very nice and easy to use, so there is nothing abnormal with it yet.

A real time saver

주석: I use it on a daily basis for both personal and professional projects. It happens to me that I need to travel from one city to another and have to switch working from my PC to my laptop. When this happens, I simply restore a backup stored in cloud on my laptop and I'm good to go. When I finish working, I run another backup that I can install later on on my PC. Of course, if the changes are only codding related, Github saves the day and I no longer have to install the new backup on my PC.

단점:

The only thing that I think it could be improved is the .htaccess processing. For some reason if you have a complex .htaccess file (security / expire headers rules), everything gets lost when you install / migrate the backup.

WordPress Migration and Backup Plugin

주석: My overall experience with Duplicator Pro is really nice. I always take the backup of my all WordPress Websites using this plugin and I am really satisfied.

WordPress backups and replication made easy

주석: I love it. I use it for client backups on production servers and use it to easily move sites from dev to production.

I love how easy this software is to use! Not only do I get an easy way to move WordPress sites from dev servers to live servers, but the pro version gives you the ability to schedule regular backups and have the files moved off-site.

단점:

You have to dial in your server settings first, so you have to have access to the server to be able to get it working right in case it doesn't work right out of the gate.

The Only Solution

주석: I use Duplicator Pro for many reasons. Firstly a lot of the times I'm working with a new client, it aids me to start website development as soon as possible before they even have domain names of hosting setup. With Duplicator Pro, I can clone the website once they have their ducks in a row and I can do it in minutes. Secondly, for a lot of my clients, having off-site backups is a must. With Duplicator Pro, I can set and forget with ease. Allowing me to offer my clients peace of mind, and allowing me to offer yet another service for my clients. I've tried other software that does the same thing due to some of my clientele preferences, and I always get them to change to Duplicator as their software of choice.

Duplicator Pro is extremely easy to set up and works every time through its multitude of options. I've tried quite a few backup/cloning solutions over the years, and none of them matches the ease of use of Duplicator Pro. The scheduling of backups, working in conjunction with my Google Drive allows me to set and forget with for a stress-free life! If you are considering using Duplicator Pro, take my word for it, just do it!

There's honestly nothing that comes to mind, even when trying to be nitpicky as I can be. It all just works amazingly.

Duplicator Pro Rocks

주석: My experience with Duplicator Pro has been exceptional. This is one of my better purchases over the years.

There is so much to love about Duplicator Pro that I'm not even sure where to start. It's very easy to use, and also dependable. I have run into a couple of problems over the last year, but support was very fast and helpful. In one case they even pushed out an update to address the problem in less time than it takes most companies to simply respond to the initial support request. Highly recommend this product, and the company. This is how businesses should be run.

단점:

Hard to think of anything I don't like about this software. One suggestion, I suppose, would be to have an onboarding feature where a person could view recommendations and apply settings upon install. This would spare people from the warnings about using Duparchive.

Best Backup and Migration plugin for Wordpress

주석: I run around 100 WordPress websites and Duplicator Pro is essential to my business. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong I can get my client's websites up and ruining within 10 minutes. Over the past four years it has saved my company from embarrassment on a number of occasions.
Using Duplicator Pro for migrating a basic website template with all the functions in built means i don't have to reinvent the wheel every time I build a new website, which saves lots of time and i can hit the road running when developing content and design.

Easy tool to migrate, (schedule)backup and install Wordpress websites. Lifesaver!

주석: I use this tool a lot to migrate websites from local testing. So I can develop locally without a need for internet connection and deploy it fast it is a great tool for people adapting the digital Nomad lifestyle. Restoring websites latest version if an update fails is fast and painless. Also it is a really great tool to create a starting point install for new Wordpress websites with all the basic plugins and settings I use often. It saves me a lot of time and gives e peace of mind since it is really reliable.

It is easy in use, saves a lot of time, reliable and comes with great problem-solving information and costumer-service. The last which I actually only needed once.

On budget hosts sometimes it is needed to tweak the setting a little to package more quickly.

Works very well in backing up the Wordpress website

Among all the wordpress backup plugins i have used till now, duplicator pro is only the solution that works very well in backing up the whole website without having any errors.

단점:

I haven't faced any difficulties using this software, but the only downside is its learning curve. You might have some difficulties using this software if you do not have any experience with FTP, Cpanel, etc.

Me encanta duplicador Pro, es un plugin muy sencillo de utilizar que te permite entre otras cosas migrar de un dominio a otro tu web de wordpress, otros plugins son más complejos, este es muy simple, generas dos ficheros, los subes al nuevo dominio, lo ejecutas y se migra de manera tremendamente rápida ¡recomendable 100%!

As a developer you can create the clone of your websites within few moments. The features of this plugin are really outstanding. According to my point of view as a Web Designer, there are no cons.

Best Automated Backups for WordPress

주석: I am very satisfied with Duplicator Pro, the price is reasonable considering the amount of time and effort it saves me.

It's easy to set up automated backups for WordPress sites with Duplicator Pro. I create and manage sites for clients and Duplicator Pro has saved me weeks of agonizing work - for example, in the past when someone's site was hacked I had to rebuild it and load pages and posts from the old fashioned WordPress back-ups one at a time, with Duplicator Pro in a few clicks and less than 30 minutes the site is restored (including all the theme customization I had done previously). One of the sites I manage has 7 languages and with Duplicator Pro when the site owner wanted me to build a new site with different theme on a new domain with mostly the same content, it was quick and convenient to clone the original site and create the new site.

I honestly can't think of anything about Duplicator Pro that I don't like.

Perfectly safe and easy to use!

주석: I have been using it for some time to perform automatic backups of my online stores. This is an essential tool for my business and has already saved me from some serious unforeseen events. It's perfect for staging and testing - but it still needs a few improvements

주석: What I like most about it is its ability to keep the website active during staging. With it, there are no issues to be bordered about and I find it extremely amazing.

Duplicator Pro makes website migration and cloning super easy, offers secure backup & restoration facilities, and supports website staging and testing which are both amazing to work on a different of ( in a situation where you're actually revamping or simply want to test certain features) without having the actual site being affected.It offers adequate technical support service with a ready-to-help team and ensures zero downtime during migration.

This plugin is not compatible with most themes and WP plugins that I've used and the backup files are large in size. Well, I don't find this good enough for the websites I work on as the majority of these are mostly hosted on shared servers.

Duplicator Pro Removes Technical Jargon and Saves Hours of Time

주석: Simple to use for any person that is not technically savvy. The main thing to remember here is that this plugin will save you hours of time over the year!

One of the best backup software packages I have used. Makes the job of transferring local website designs to a live domain very simple. I use this with my clients while offering a paid monthly backup service. And so this provides an extra revenue stream for my business.

단점:

Not entirely happy with the pricing of the Gold version which would have been nice to have and think this is a little pricey. However, I can see the benefits if you have a lot of customers.

Good tool for business

주석: I use DP as a backup tool for all my Wordpress websites, and it works a treat. I also use it to upload and transfer websites, and while it perhaps isn't as simple as it could be, it is a reliable tool.
