It is intuitive once you are over the learning curve. The company goes to great lengths to make sure all the industry standard tools are integrated.
The initial set up was a little confusing - linking the playlist to the layout didn't feel intiuitive.

Yodeck for you!

I love the ease of use of Yodeck and that they have a great free product to try out with very few limitations. Definitely glad I upgraded.

The web player doesn't seem to refresh as quickly but that might be the device I am using.
Best for our needs
주석: No problems, saves u s a lot of time maintaining the devices, when there are any problems, everything is fixed fast, in a matter of hours. Pretty much most hassle-freee experience from all systems we've tried.

Great product with more features than most organizations will need
주석: The onboarding was simple. A rep walked us through the process. The hardware came ready to use. The only thing left for the end user is to manage content. We load our announcement slides and set the date each one will expire, assign the slides to the desired monitors, and let Yodeck do all the work. We even use a severe weather alert feed because our area has experienced several catastrophic weather events.

Yodeck does everything we need (and more) than a service we had before for price that is affordable for any size organization. The service expands as your organization expands its implementation. We had another very similar service that increased their fee to $2500/year for two unique digital sign outputs. We have expanded the number of digital signs for a fraction of the cost.

In our church, we use the live video feed capability and there is a 1-2 second delay. In many situations the delay would be imperceivable but since our worship center and our atrium (where we use the live video fee) are adjacent, the delay is noticeable. We can live with it, but I wish there was less delay. This probably will not be an issue for most users who do not need to send a live video/audio signal through Yodeck from a production control room.

Easy to use tool to manage signage displays

I like the versatility of Apps and devices that can be integrated / used with Yodeck. We can use decomissioned thin clients to get a new live as an output device for signage displays at our company. Native integrations to things like Grafana or Calendars make it easier to build layouts than embedding web pages. Customer support (we only had to resort to them once) is helpful. We did not need to reach out more often because their documentation is detailed.
단점:
The initial installation on a Linux desktop OS with Chrome was a bit hard because the provided PWA could not be automatically booted in full screen. This could only be resolved with support because it was unclear for us on how to do.

Multiyear Yodeck review (2024)
주석: As a Yodeck user for the past eight years (currently 2024) our overall experience has been very positive, I would highly recommend!

Yodeck is super simple to setup and manage. Adding other users to help push out new playlists is also very easy and helpful. If a player goes offline for any reason a notification is sent to my email letting me know the status. The platform is very stable and everything is managed over a Wi-Fi connection.

Honestly cannot think of a single thing to dislike!

I love Yodeck
주석: I work in IT, and using Yodeck was a very simple and easy learning process. I found it very well designed and programmed, providing immediate results once content was pre-scheduled and pushed to screens.

The ability to schedule diverse content type for students, during classroom times, at my former high school. Having the option to push content at prescheduled times, and being able to select and define screen location and section size, they are all really convenient features from Yodeck.

I sort of wish the cost would be a bit more affordable for Education institutions. I am using Yodeck on my former High School, and they have limited funds to cover more than a single screen at the moment. They will be going Premium by end of year.
Excellent Solution for Digital Signage

That we are able to display exactly what we want, when we want, and it can all be controlled remotely.

The only area I would like to see them improve on is when adding content to a playlist. We're able to group content into folders when adding media, but that grouped content is no grouped when adding media to a playlist. Generally this isn't a big deal, but when we have 40+ videos that are just for NFL and those videos are displayed next to every other video it makes the selection process a little combersome.
WYSIWYG Screen Content Manage Done Well

I love the simplicity of the publishing dashboard. You can literally work the user dashboard from concept to publishing within a couple of minutes in so many cases. I also love that updates can be done from my phone to prepare welcomes for arriving board members, surprise parties for employees who are celebrating high-year milestone service anniversaries, and even put up QR codes for pulse surveys that we need our employees to engage with immediately. Yodeck alsoo allows us to prioritize messages. It also allows us to toggle with how long we want a piece of content to appear on screen compared to another piece which can enable our employees with as much time as they need to receive the message. Multi-Location feature gives a level of detail that I didn’t even know I needed until it was presented to me. Some locations within our footprint don’t need to see certain messages, and this functionality allows us to skip publishing to their location’s device. Being able to customize what content you want to appear on screen is one thing, but the option to run a news banner, weather forecast, and the local time in the corner is icing on the cake. It makes for a dynamic experience, drawing eyes to the screen and creating an interesting and refreshing experience for our employees every time. Finally, sheduling is extremely helpful for initiatives, events and activities that are bound by a window of time, and also convenient for me because I don’t have to physically go back into Yodeck and remove the content myself. It helps ensure messages to our employees don’t get stale.
단점:
Doesn’t include integrations into Microsoft 365 that we want our seamless employees to see or have access to. Also, does not use locations to auto-translate messages.
Very intuitive solution
주석: We use our Yodeck devices for a few different situations. First we have it playing in our lobby with information for our customers. We also have several around common areas for upcoming event information, recent employee accomplishments, and general information. Lastly, we have one in the IT department that shows dashboards for diferent metrics we track as well as rss feeds for cybersecurity related news.

I feel the best thing about the Yodeck has been how many different file formats it will accept. Our previous solution was cumbersome to get files converted to specific requirements. The implementation of the product is fantastic. During the device order process, you can give it the wifi authentication and assign the playlist. It starts working as soon as you take it out of the box and plug it in. Very easy to use.
단점:
This is not a deal breaker, but I would like to see more built-in plugins. Things like daily, business appropriate, trivia, jokes, or this day in history type slides.

Yodeck is simple to setup, inexpensive and easy to manage. There isn't much of a learning curve with the Yodeck user interface and purchasing the players (we upgraded from the free players to the 4gb version for a nominal charge) from Yodeck is a plus and a must if you don't want to fool with setup. When I got my players, all I had to do was plug them into the screens, power them on and register them. Yodeck added our wifi settings and named the devices so that was great and meant a few less steps for me. Getting the content setup and figuring out scheduling, layouts, etc. was a breeze using the Yodeck tutorial videos. And when I did run into an issue, their online chat support was there to walk me through the solution quickly. There's really no negatives with Yodeck!

It took me a few trys to get the scheduling to work the way I needed it to. I just didn't understand exactly how it worked. But after a few tries and watching the tutorial, I got it to work and now it's working seamlessly for us.
Easiest Signage Ever
주석: Implemented and used it for a couple years at my previous job (20 or so players). I am just now deploying it at my school district, so far we have 20 players, but that will grow fairly quickly.

Super easy to deploy. Super easy to sit someone who has never touched digital signage in front of the dashboard and start having them upload content on their screens. The documentation is very thorough, and the Youtube videos are very valuable.
단점:
Every once in a while I get a player out of the box that gets messed up during the initializing process and have to re-image the microsd card. Everything works fine after that. Very minor annoyance.
YoDeck has been a life saver.
주석: In two years we grew from just having 2 devices, today we have 20 and we see even more opportunities to continue to grow the use. We recently began adding calendars for the conference rooms and we could do that with YoDeck as well. I much prefer a single platform for all of these, rather than 1 for conference room calendars and another for Dashboards, etc.

YoDeck is both affordable and easy to use. setting up additional uses and limiting their access is easy. I have delegated the content of most screens to the office staff and they love it. A plus, is by making it easy to update, we are much more likely to have current and relevant information on the screens. Additionally, we build custom webpages - only hosted internally, but YoDeck has no problems accessing them.
단점:
I find it can be a little finicky about updating when it only has a single slide. It seems to just cache the page and not refresh with new data. An easy fix is simply to have a placeholder slide (sometimes we use the weather app) and cycle between the two.
The ultimate digital signage tool!
주석: We are Yodeck for roster and student/staff information displays flawlessly for almost 4 years now.

When ordering with player you can setup in advance, just connect the player to your screen and you are all set! Plug & Play! - Cloud based and central management from any device with internet connection.
단점:
No support for dutch language. No problem for me personally but some users would like this.
Great Signage solution
주석: Overall, this product is excellent. Yhe product is very lightweight but very powerful. Being able to develop your own apps or even develop your own internal websites that can be displayed on the players, along with being able to run scripts on webpages to automate login to pages is a very nice touch. It does make management of the platform on a day to day basis very easy. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a new digital signage platform.

The fact that it is a cloud based platform really works well for us. Due to not being reliant on a central publisher located in a DC, the management of the platform can be done from anywhere. With integrations for SSO from Azure AD, this also provides security and RBAC access from our existing estate without the need to manage individual users and groups in the application. Having Raspberry Pi's run the content displays is a nice touch too, as they are cheap to replace should one fail and using Micro SD cards to install the OS on is also really handy as these can be rebuilt in minutes should there be a problem with the player. There are a large number of widgets available out of the box, but being able to create your own is also really handy too. This way we can build a generic widget for a certain task, then just keep re-using it for different sites.
단점:
As with any new products, there are a few teething issues. These are mainly down to widgets needing to be developed to allow certain functionality. However, Yodeck tech support are very prompt and very helpful, so can't really say this is a down point. Just a staged development of the app integrations i suppose with any platform.

Excellent Software, Hardware, and Support
주석: Overall, I think the onboarding process is top notch and I really doubt there's any other company who is willing to spend one-on-one time getting each customer set up the way YoDeck does, especially for the price! It's only a few dollars per month per screen, they included the hardware, and they provided personalized setup and support. There's really nothing to complain about! We have only had one potential point of confusion, and the company listened to our concern and took it seriously. We have no doubt that YoDeck is looking into it and will address things appropriately as needed. There are lots of plug-ins to make the signage work with various software, they have a great selection of templates and animations, and there are so many ways to turn tvs/screens/monitors into displays through hardware options or YoDeck apps in various app stores. We'd highly recommend trying YoDeck first!

The whole experience of getting set up is as easy as it can be! Our company chose an annual plan, which included free hardware for running our digital signage. It arrived with all of the software pre-installed and configured, so we only had to plug it into the tv and turn it on! It even had our network credentials already set up and ready to go. Once it arrived, their support team scheduled a personalized one-on-one conference call with us to walk us through how to use their web software for running the signage and sent us helpful links and contact info for future inquiries. I feel like they really went above and beyond!

I mostly don't have anything I don't like. The only small feedback that I gave YoDeck is that there seems to be confusion with date and time input when it comes to scheduling content times. I might want content to display from Jan 1 to Dec 31 between 9am and 5pm, but some screens and support reps interpret that as running non-stop from Jan 1 at 9am until Dec 31 at 5pm, while other understand that we mean daily from Jan 1 until Dec 31 with content starting each day at 9am and ending at 5pm. We did already relay this concern/potential confusion to YoDeck and they said they are taking a look at it to ensure that everything works as intended, and it may possibly have just been confusion or miscommunication on the part of tech support about how the related software screens work.
Absolutely Love it!
주석: Wonderful! I use Yodeck as a Digital Signage software. I operate as front facing, highly specialized IT Help Desk position within a specific area of my work campus, so it is important to keep in touch with all of my users, so that they know where I'm at, and what I'm doing. IF/when I'm on vacation, out sick, doctor appointment, or what have you, I make sure my digital sign is updated to show where I'm at, and whom they can contact in my absence. So far, I've been using it for about 6+ months, and I absolutely love it! I can even update it from wherever I am (Vacation, home, halfway across the universe because I accidentally fell into a wormhole, etc.)! Yodeck is EXACTLY what I was looking for, and with the 1 free screen, it's exactly what I NEEDED for my work area. Before Yodeck, I was using a Powerpoint Presentation, and just navigating through what I wanted displayed at any given time. It was a hassle, and someone had to be there to operate it when it needed to be changed.

Very quick and easy to set up, even if using your own computer for the digital signage. It's simple and easy to change what you want displayed on your screen, as well as setting up playlists and schedules to keep it changing how you want/when you want. I absolutely LOVE the 1 free screen option that lets you try it out free of cost (with limited features) for one screen. If I ever need more screens, you can bet I'm going to be using Yodeck for those!

The Schedule feature should be more flexible by giving you more power over controlling what displays, when. Currently, I have to add multiples of the same type of Layout throughout a month (or range of months) just to cover/display what I want, especially after a few day "break" in displaying. So far, it's still very good and easy to use, but it could be better.
Yodeck digital noticeboard management software
주석: Yodeck has enabled us to further the usefulness of our existing digital noticeboards by utilising their extensive range of widgets. The screens are now true information points displaying a variety of media.

At our community centre we have been using a basic photo slideshow app to convert smart tvs into digital noticeboards. It worked but was very basic - limited to displaying jpgs that we needed to manually rotate to display on a portrait orientated screen.Yodeck has been a big step up as far as possibilities for our screens. We now have the option to display a whats on calendar, video, livestream, weather and more.I particularly like the clean, uncluttered and intuitive dashboard which manages the screens. Yodeck has excellent video and livestream support that was lacking from some of the other digital noticeboard apps we tested. Technical support has also been particularly good. Highly recommended.

Lack of a compatible Android app for smart TVs. An android app would've have simplified the upgrade for us since we use Android compatible smart TVs, but the Yodeck player has been an acceptable alternative to an app.

Manufacturing Use

I am a safety engineer and it is very simple to work with for me. I can update the screens in various locations throughout our shop and have no problems. The set up was super easy and the websites that can be copy and pasted for web use works very well. This way I am able to put up safety videos over subjects we have problems with. I love that you can add powerpoint as well and it will set up the times to scroll through all of it. In some scenarios with past digital signage companies I had to paste slide for slide so this saves me a ton of time. Yodeck provides free players with subscriptions to services which makes it very convenient should you have to present for approval to corporate. All in all this is a great platform and I enjoy using it.
단점:
There is nothing I can think of besides maybe having a day counter option. I would like to put a clock up that counts the amount of days without an accident to display on the screens in the shop and I can't find anything like that on the widgets besides countdowns.
